Selena Gomez wants you to know that the tattoo she got the other day isn’t what everyone thinks it is.

It was widely reported earlier this week that the former Wizards of Waverly Place star got a tiny heart inked onto her right wrist at the Under the Gun tattoo shop in Hollywood.

“It’s a music note,” Gomez told me at the Women in Film cocktail party at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood. “Everybody thought it was a heart, but it’s a little music note.”In other words, it’s not, as many may have assumed, a symbol of love inspired by her boyfriend, Justin Bieber.Previously, Gomez had dared to get only a temporary henna tattoo.As for Bieber, he wasn’t on hand for Gomez’s first inking.
